Hiv and wisdom Teeth

Hey.

About just over 3 weeks ago I had a possible risk to Hiv. I had unprotected oral and viginal sex with a girl I had met that night.

after about a week my groinal area started to get twinges and a few days later it started in my armpits (to be honest, I probabally wouldnt have even noticed them unless I knew that there was a possibility of swollen lymph nodes due to Hiv ars.) and about 3 times in one week I woke up with numb little fingers on different hands each night. Anyway, let's get to my main question...

I have a slight infection in my bottom wisdom teeth especially in the left one. (Pus coming out etc I have had to clean it twice a day for about a year now. Im currently on the waiting list to have all 4 removed) Yesterday the gums around the tooth became very sore and I woke up last night to discover that the gum had swollen and there was alot of pain which is effecting all the gum up to the tonsil on the left side of my mouth. So I was just wondering if anyone could let me know if HIV ARS can effect already existing mouth problems? Is it possible for things already happening in the mouth to become worse as HIV ARS is starting to take effect? Or do you think that I could have not washed my hands properlly when cleaning the tooth and caused it to be more infected or somthing (im not saying I have done this, Im just thinking of examples)

Yesterday I recieved my results back for Ghonorea and Chlymydia and they were both negative. (I  am going back to my GUM clinic in the uk in feb to get a HIV blood test).

Thanks for your time!

S.

Hey Panther77.

I fully intend to do this in 9 weeks. I have already booked myself a blood test in my Gum clinic. Im just curious is all, just to see if my wisdom teeth could become more painful/awkward in the ARS process if I have been infected with HIV.

Thanks for the reply!

if you had unprotected oral and vaginal sex ... then you should test 3 month conclusive ... the symptoms you described do not mean anything ...
