Hiv anxiety

Hello Doctor,

I am a Male and have been exposed to a risk like a month ago. I had protected vaginal sex with a girl with many sexual partners. But I suspect that condom was broke when I took it out after 5 minutes of intercourse because I felt a drop on my leg but I still ignored it. After like 7-8th day I started feeling fatigue and lack of energy which continued till now. It followed by headaches and high body temperature but not fever. I knew something was going wrong and started feeling dry mouth and bad taste in couple of days which I still have it. Most scary was that I found my tongue with white coating and other strange thing was continuous growling stomach sounds which I still have it all the time. Other main concern was I lost my appetite and lost body weight by 5 kg which is 10% of my total body weight. I don’t eat all day or may be just one small meal and I don’t feel hungry at all and I have feeling of throwing up all the time since then.
Today I have noticed night sweats and rashes on my both thigh.
My friends says that it is anxiety related but It’s hard for me to accept that fact coz I know something has gone wrong with my body.
I am looking for a 4th generation duo test next week but I am even scared to think of if it’s hiv.
Doctor, please advice over my situation.

Our members have advised you that you did not have a risk but if you would like to test for peace of mind only, that is your choice. There is nothing to add to this advice they have given so we are closing this discussion.

No the condom didn't break because if that happened it would be a large rip down the seam and it would hang in tatters so both of you would know it.
Your symptoms are experienced by millions of negative people like you who have anxiety - so your friends are correct. For example you didn't get a bad taste in your mouth and you didn't feel fatigue because it was in your imagination. A test would be a waste of time, so talk it over with your doctor instead so you can relax and accept that nothing happened.

Hello Doctor, thanks for the peaceful advice. And m not sure about condom broke as it never happened to me before, so I am not sure it it was intact or broke but I kinda suspected it that time.
My symptoms can be stress related to an extent but I can’t accept that all of them are stress related such as nausea which is constant since like 2 weeks and lost of appetite and rashes. Just one query Doctor if you think they are not HIV related then do you think they can be casues by any other STD I caught that night? Please advice
Many thanks in advance!
You don't have any medical training so it is unrealistic for you to have so much confidence in your ability to make medical diagnosis of HiV, stomach or any other ailments. In fact because you self diagnosed them, it is highly likely that some if not all are in your imagination from fear.
Your condom did not break, so you don't have HIV. It is denial for you to just make a claim that you think your condom broke in a way that none have broken in history before. The reality is this; No HIV risk=no HIV disease=no HIV symptoms.

Thanks for the advice doctor. But these symptoms mean something and surely they are not stress related and all of them either pouting towards hiv or hepatitis and do you think it can be a coincidence that I have started getting these after the exposue.
And they are all different not related to one disease such as lost of appetite, losing wright, nausea, growling sounds, headches, white tongue and dry mouth, rashes, muscle ache and even lymp nodes.. they sound like clear signs of seroconversion. I know I don’t have any medical training but I can tell if something is wrong.
Please advice if these symptoms indicate anything else?

As an adult, the only risks for HIV are:
1) having unprotected, penetrative vaginal or anal sex, or
2) sharing IV drug needles with other IV drug users.

If the condom broke, you would have known as it would have been very difficult to remove from your penis.

Your stomach is likely growling because you don't eat properly, and the symptoms you detail sound like anxiety to me.  HIV rashes wouldn't just be on your thigh anyway.

You can test for peace of mind if you like, but your result WILL be negative since you had no legitimate risk for HIV.

Thanks a ton for the advice doctor, much appreciated but just one question as I am sure these symptoms are not anxiety related Coz anxiety came after these symptoms. I do really have a white tongue with bad mouth taste and dry lips and I feel growling sound not because of food coz I was eating very healthy and doing exercises regularly. And I have nausea which is so bad that I feel throwing up most of the day. Do you think they can be related to any other STD instead? Kindly help with this last query. Advance many thAnks
