Hiv legal question about csw with HIV

Hey everyone i know u guys aren't lawyers but I have a question on what I should do and im just looking for honesty. Im a guy from illinois and a while back I was really drunk and hooked up with a prostitute on craigslist (unprotected, which was dumb, i know). I found out she had hiv and i was pretty sceard when getting tested after 3 months but luckily I didnt get it. I been trying to move on as now im sceard of catching anything(i use protection always now). Out of curiosity, I looked her # up through google and found that shes been prostituting on a website. And she offers bare sex.
Question- i warned people that she has it and now im planing on alerting the police but im really sceard that ill get arrested for hooking up with her when i was drunk. What should i do?? cause i dont want  this person to keep spreading hiv.

i think you need just to inform the public health authorities in your city such as cdc and letting them doing their job in accordance to the law and general human rights standards .

Why would you even tell them you had sex with her? Irrelevant to them, just state she is positive and doing online advertising. They will figure it out.

You should report her to the police, what she is doing is a crime. It’s horrible what she is doing if she is not being honest about having HIV. That is scary!

Make an anonymous call.  It's highly unlikely that they'll seek you out to prosecute you for such a petty act, particularly in light of the fact that you're reporting a much more serious crime.

Sorry i don't agree with you he need only informing the public health authorities in the city. it sounds like we are in 80s or 90s.
Disagree all you want, but in the US, it's a crime in most areas.

By law, if the person has hiv, he/she must tell their partners.
If she has hiv and continue to have sex with people without telling them, then it is a crime.
