Hiv testing

Hi there,

I have spent many hours online reading various forums regarding my position and although I have read some great information. As Usual there has been a lot of conflicting evidence.

So I have decided to ask for some advice to put my mind at ease one way or another.

In February had a condom break with a female csw in Eastern Europe I did not notice this till the even had finished , I also noticed some how my penis had been cut by something, possibly a fingernail during condom fitting possibly there wasn't any visible blood that I could see but some clear liquid if you would like to  call it that inside it.

So I decided to do a full sexual health screen

12 days  later I took urine samples and hiv duo 4th gen both negative

At just over 11 weeks I took another hiv duo 4th gen
Results where negative the specialist I seen said I would not require further testing as a few days won't make a difference.

My question regarding the testing is.

During the whole course of these events. Sexual and testing I was taking testosterone 500mg  and nandralone 500mg per week (competitive  bodybuilder ) I also had 1 shot of cortisone about 5 weeks after exposure for an injury I had acquired.

Could these drugs have affected my testing in anyway be it reduced p24 or antibody levels ?

Thanks

I'm confused to what you mean real and I don't mean to pester or waste your time.

Did you mean that the duo test would be unaffected by those other drugs ?

HI teak thanks for the response.

What part do you mean no too ?

I have regular full blood work and testing done. Kidney, liver, heart,BP basically every 6 weeks I get monitored I have a very good doctor who although does not particularly agree with what I have done. He is very active in monitoring. And since have completely stopped.

To be honest. This event have gave me a fright about my health. Iv learned my lesson if you like.

No, but maybe you should see a doctor and ask and have them check you to see how much damage you have done to your organs.

Does anyone have any information on this or point me in the direction of someone who might ?

From what I can find the 4th gen tests ( the antigen part is not affected by any drugs because it is not related to the immune system ) and in theory even with weakened immune system should still show positive because it's detectable antibody production that begins to clear the body of antigen.
In theory even with a compromises immune system struggling to create enough antibodies would only mean p24 antigen is around longer.

Would that be correct ?
