Thanks Vance for your explanation.... i've got it now:)
How you put the condom on.
What does the statement "used correctly" mean?
That is in reference to STD's. If you have a STD question post in that forum.
yes i understand that but i'm confused with " to a lesser degree, genital ulcer diseases" i'm not really getting that point....can you pliz explain?
No. Did you not read this?
Latex condoms, when used consistently and correctly, are highly effective in preventing the sexual transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS
i have a confusion regarding your statement "consistent and correct use of latex condoms reduces the risk of other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including diseases transmitted by genital secretions, and to a lesser degree, genital ulcer diseases" So are u saying there is a greater risk of infection of HIV if there was genetic ulcer disease even if the condom was used???
Latex condoms, when used consistently and correctly, are highly effective in preventing the sexual transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. In addition, consistent and correct use of latex condoms reduces the risk of other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including diseases transmitted by genital secretions, and to a lesser degree, genital ulcer diseases. Condom use may reduce the risk for genital human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and HPV-associated diseases, e.g., genital warts and cervical cancer.
I don't know what there talking about really,if you use a condom correctly and it doesn't fail you then there is no risk of HIV transmission.Just another scare tactic by people who call themselves HIV experts.
