1.PEP must be given with 72 hours of exposure. You were still within that time frame but it doesn't seem to me like you had a risk in the first place. Only the head of your penis needs to be covered by the condom to be protected, which you said it was, therefore you didn't have a risk.
2. From the way you described it, your had no exposure at all.
3.For someone who had an exposure, testing on day 24 after being on PEP is not conclusive at all. Furthermore, none of those tests you mentioned are conclusive until 12 weeks after exposure because they are 3rd generation antibody only tests. Plus, taking PEP delays the window period of when a person can expect a conclusive result. But you didn't have a risk, since you used a condom and the head of your penis was covered, then all of this is a moot point because non exposures do not have a window period.
4. See a doctor for that question. This is an HIV forum and that's not the type of questions that are answered here.
5. PEP is a very strong and toxic medicine meant for people who were knowingly exposed to an HIV+ partner. It's not like taking an aspirin. Read the pamphlet that came with the meds to see all of the multitude of side effects possible from taking it. As for whether you should stop taking it, you shouldn't have been given it in the first place so draw your own conclusions. But I would not have asked for it in the first place unless I had an actual exposure with a known HIV+ partner.
1. Effective
2. Low risk
3. Depends on what test you did. But in essence, it is conclusive.
4. Ask your doctor
5. No. Some side effects. Or maybe your own imagination. Ask your doctor
