We are very sorry you are so anxious. Our members have expressed to you that testing is accurate at 28 days. There is nothing we can add other than the message our members have tried to convey to you which is that a one tie episode is low risk. We wish you the best and please continue to work with your doctor.

Guys ,I want to share with you ,that my anxiety is still super high ,I went to my doctor yesterday to tell her about this and she tested with me with 4th generation rapid test ,it was Alere I saw it and it was negative ,22 days after exposure, she told me to do it again after 1 week ,I live in Denmark and they say here it is conclusive after 1 month. I read this tests cannot pick infection like lab test ? Also want to ask you how reliable this is ? Can I relax a bit ? My life is mess ,I failed my exams ,hopefully I will go through this somehow. Thank you
Guys ,I want to tell you ,that I was super anxious and today went to get rapid test ,it was Insti test and it was negative 20 days after exposure ,I know I have to keep it calm and will try and this test was unnecessary ,I want to ask you ,because I dont think I will be able to get lab Duo test at 28 days ,should I take a rapid duo test at 28 days or I should wait and get test at 6 weeks ,I ask because I read that the rapid Duo test is not accurate as lab test and should do it after 6 weeks ?
I am back ,my anxiety is super high ,can barely go through the day ,I will go for test tomorrow and I don't know what to think ,this is the only place where I can share about this.
Ok guys thanks for the encouraging words ,will try to get some sleep. I really appreciate your help , can't tell anyone else for this.
`..I fear the worst ,she was very high risk ..`That is incorrect and you have no reason to think that. She knows she can not get hiv because normally the condom does not break so that is why she uses it, and you need to accept that too.
You are fixating on your fears instead of accepting the reality that she is likely negative. And accept GR advice that is is silly to test early.
Having a single exposure (such as a condom break during anal sex) is extremely low risk. It is less than 2 percent. Plus, the CSW uses condoms meaning she generally protects herself making it unlikely she had HIV. So, keep that in mind. Don't waste your time and money testing next week. Wait until 28 days. But I would guess you will be negative. Try not to worry.
What exactly was you exposure?
Duo = P24Ag + Antibody
Only the p24 antigen part of the test was viable at that point.
A negative is encouraging. If you were infected, in all probabilities that part of the test would have tested positive at that juncture.
Since, antibody test is considered for diagnostic purpose, you need to re-test at 28 days with a duo to rule out HIV infection, at that point your result will be at about 95% accuracy. At 6 weeks, you can test with any standard antibody test for a 100% conclusive.
