Situation:
I was at strip club in March 2014 and while taking lap dance, girl bite me unconsciously below my neck - near to shoulder on top of t-shirt and thin jacket. When I came home, I noticed - my skin was red and could not find any blood traces on t-shirt of jacket however not sure.
After 2 months I got high fever and went to urgent care however doctor diagnosed it as flu and gave me antibiotic which helped. (Did not take HIV test)
I read couple of forums that it is very rare that human bit can cause HIV so I just moved on however after 1.5 years I started getting anxious about it and did below HIV tests
In Nov 2015 I started getting burning sensation on my penis - I'm seeing urologist currently.
Test 1: After 1.5 Years
Aug 2015 -
HIV 1/O/2 Abs-Index < 1.00
Value - Index value: Specimen reactivity relative to the negative cutoff
HIV 1/O/2 Abs, Qual Non Reactive
Test 2: After 2 Yeas
March 2016
HIV - Non Reactive
This is a screening test.
A single positive laboratory assay is not sufficient to arrive at the diagnosis of HIV infection. Supplementary assay such as Westorn Blot/DNA PCR indicated for confirmation.
Method: CMIA
Questions:
1. Are there any special tests for HIV for human bit?
2. Do I need any additional tests?
3. My fever and burning feeling on penis related to HIV?
4. In second test, there is additional description. Is it only applicable if screening test is reactive (+ve) or I need to take that Westorn Blot/DNA PCR tests?
It is keeping me anxious 24 x 7. I'm not able to concentrate on work and delaying planning for baby.
Thank you.
