I know I have hiv!
Today on Valentine's day I cried myself to a hospital. Because I'm certain I have contracted HiV. It started 60 days ago when I made the fatal mistake to sleep with a prostitute. Do I maybe deserve to get infected? Sure; but not my wife.
To give a background 18 days after I went in to do an std screening and the doctor brought the topic of HIV up, and told me I could had gotten HIV, because the condom( she provided it ) might have been expired. He also told me that 8 out of 10 people that have sex with an infectedperson, even though they used condoms, could get infect. So with all this I become very anxious as I have a wife. Then At 20 days I get an antibody test that was negative. At this point I start to get a sore throat and pay for a PCR RNA test at 21 days. This wasn't good as my anxiety and symptoms ( sore throat and mild fever ) start to get worse so I decide to go the New York Health Clinic and at 25 days they perform an antibody and NAAT which came out negative. I then subdue to the fact that I might be negative.
But then I get anxious again and at 50 days go to my doctor which did a lab antibody test. Which came out negative.
Today I'm freaking out and have contemplated suicide because my wife today, two weeks after we had sex, came down with sore throat, runny nose, and swollen lymph nodes and describs it as the worse flu ever.

Please I'm just looking for the someone to tell that my imagination is messing with and that I don't have it. That all the symptoms my wife is having, from one sex encounter which I ejaculated inside of her, are not due to HIV. Im implore you please give me an honest answer I don't if my mind can take this. At the doctor they told her lymph were due to the cold and gave her ibuprofen.

I have been there! I shared ur frustration! i was more paranoid than u I had to see a therapist. I while tested abroad with a DUO at 28 days - negative , antibody and RNA at 48 days and another antibody at 96 days. All negative. My MD swore to me that with a antibody and pcr not detectable after a month I was negative gor sure. I did not believe him abd went for a 3 month test. Concerning PCR ( for what I have read And trust me I read nights and night on it) It is just politics and money. RNA with an antibody negative is bulletproof.
Thanks fads, I just find it crazy how the people that give these test NAT and RNA day is reliable and then ou read online they are a waste of time. I think I would be doing ok if my wife didn't lymph nodes in her jaw and neck swollen. I'm sorry if I sound crazy but it has been difficult.
your sore throat and mild fever are meaningless! u live in NY hare in the middle of winter everybody is sick(in live there too)! it is 16 degree out. there is a lot of viral infection going around!
Relax dude! Go to your md and ask for an RNA and antibody to clear your mind. If both comeback undetectable and negative after a month of possible exposure u can drop it! I have been there. You should be more than confident with ur results! u did an RNA at 21 days nothing detected. If you were infected the virus would have show for sure by then or you would have been positive with an antibody test. Again relax you have tested negative 5 time within a month!

Thank you for answering. I have trouble finding the COMBO test in ny. So the RNA and NAAT are meaningless. The people who provided these test said they were %99. Thanks.
A DUO combo test (antibody/antigen) at 4 weeks is considered conclusive.
A standard antibody test will not be conclusive for 12 weeks.
If the condom did not break, and you would know if it had, then there is no risk, even if you had oral sex.
Use a condom with your wife until your test(s) are conclusive.
