I need feedback on my risk and results

Hi,

3 weeks ago I received unprotected oral and then was a top using a condom.  But I completely messed up when removing the condom I grabbed the condom with my hand and then also grabbed my penis...so basically it seems like I may have potentially transmitted HIV to myself by doing this....the next day I had mild groin pain...then at day 11 I had mild fever/sore throat and muscle fatigue and a mild burning/tingling sensation in arms/legs.

At 14 days I had a HIV RNA Qualitative test and standard HIV antibody test which I know is not valid given the time frame.  The RNA  came back non-reactive and HIV came back negative.

The fever / sore throat lasted less than a day but it is now 21 days post possible exposure and I still have mild groin pain and mild pain in arms / muscles and the intermettent tingling.

I know if I infected myself in this way it would have been an out of body infection which I read somewhere not likely to happen but my symptoms concern me and I don't know really what the RNA tells at 14 days.

Is anyone familiar with a situation such as my and any chance not to contract HIV?

Thank you for for any feedback.

Teak / Hangon51,

Thank you for your feedback.  To clarify, the condom was covered in lube/anus mucus I didn't notice any blood but I've read anus mucus contains the most HIV virus so when I grabbed the condom my hand became covered in it then transferred to my penis.

I understand what you are saying about no transfer outside of host, but then people get HIV from needle pricks, that is technically outside of host too?

There was no kissing at all, I just received oral and then topped.  If I didn't have so many ARS type of symptoms arrive within 11 days I wouldn't be too worried but naturally I'm concerned.

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child

Well "basically" you're a bit overanxious. HIV cannot be transmitted that way. Not even "potentially" or "theoretically" for that matter.
