i had sex with a prostitute 8 days ago and condom broke just on re-entry, i noticed immediately, stopped remove and clean my pennis with water and soap. 2 days after i felt a little pain on the tip of my pennis and i've seen a little red pimple, went to the hospital and doctor said was probably genital herpes. note (im non-circumsized). im so nervous that already had urticaria on my chest......  
i've been extra careful all my life and this is eating me alive.
Please i need help.

I dont think that if she has hiv already the chances are 50/50 that you will catch it from u/p vaginal penetration? isn't it something like 1 in 100 or maybe a bit less? this is basis what i have read about  sero-discordant couples - maybe one of the experts can correct me but i don't think its 1 in 2 chance.

I have tested at 7.5 weeks (53 days) and today 11.5 weeks (81 days) both NEGATIVE but some say that 13 weeks (90 days) is conclusive and 100% accurate, please, can i put this behind me? should i wait 9 more days and re-test?

Excuse me, your exposure has nothing similar with mine, if i was on your position i wouldn't even care to post on this site.

I had UNPROTECTED VAGINAL sex with a extremely high risk Portuguese prostitute (condom breaks) and with all co-factors- foreskin and get genital herpes from that exposure. My doctor gave me 50/50 of chances of contracting HIV if the girl was infected and 30% of Portuguese prostitutes are indeed infected.

So, RELAX and make sure you didn't catch other minor "curable" STDs, never mind HIV.

Miguel, thanks for your comments....and congratulations on your results. I am not trying to hijack your thread, but  since i had a similar accident-- asking here would make sense.

In my case, the condom didn't break-- I was so drunk I never had sex. But I do remember that for a min the CSW took off condom to give me oral. I told her to put it back on-- but was too drunk to stop her immediately. But this was in Moscow and with a prostitute--  a high probability she had HIV/STDs.

My question: I am counting every hour until my 28 day DUE test-- how long do I have to wait for a fairly accurate other STDs test? Today was the 6th day after exposure-- no symptoms yet...but i guess that's expected.

Thanks, i will test again at 2, 3 and if neg at 6 mounts to peace of mind.
The nurse who tested me said its a very sensitive device and its not reported even one case who turn to be positive after 6 week mark, she also said a 4th gen. test at this point its a waste of money because the p24 antigen is supposed to drop and become undetectable.

I decided to let it go, if i turn out to be + , its not the end of the world, i would probably live a long life. What really scares me about it its the long term medication and the negative stigma HIV have around here, the discrimination should be hardest part. God bless you all who live with the disease, i never thought much about it until now and i have a heavy coincidence about paying to have sex and thought about some divine punishment. So, i did my tests:
12 days after exposure - Ac. anti-HIV1 & 2 (ECLIA) - Non-reactive
27days after exposure - 3rd generation ELISA - negative
39days after exposure - 3rd generation (VIKIA) HIV 1/2 - negative

Im sill taking anti depressives and losing weight, no other symptoms.....
Two questions:
39 days isn't 6 six weeks, does 3 days make a difference?
how good is a 4th generation test at six weeks?
This is being a traumatic experience for me, i keep hearing this voice on the back of my head saying im HIV positive.

Any advice please.

Hey slow down man, you are getting way ahead of yourself!  This talk about getting a gun and making sure she will not do this to anyone is pure nonsense.  First of all a condom can be put on backwards and not fail.  They are not made to be put oninside out as they do not roll down easily and sometimes they get stretched out of shape  but that does not ensure failure.  I have had many a hooker put the condom on inside out, and you know what....not once did it ever fail.  My only condom failures have been just out of the blue due to vigorous sex with the condom put on correctly.  Secondly, most hookers are just women trying to put food on the table, put a roof over their heads and feed their kids........they are NOT part of some evil conspiracy to spread disease.  Some of them are infected....yes it's true....but they want to work another day and if they spread disease and get a bad reputation their business will drop off.  The work of a hooker is not glamorous,  very few are like the girls that service our former governor of New York and make the big bucks.  Most of them just get by from trick to trick.  She probably laughed out of a vent of frustration as if to say "just my dumb luck" or something like that.  So instead of revenge in your heart...show some sympathy.   I genuinely feel compassion for these women.  I am glad they are out there so a guy like me can enjoy sex.

So put your anger aside, accept responsibility for what happened and move on as best you can knowing the odds of you getting infected with anything incurable like HIV is very small.  Sure, it's not too small to ignore.....but to small to perseverate  on or worse yet, go to prison for a senseless act of thoughtless revenge!

im thinking the prostitute made this happen to me for many reasons, maybe she knows shes infected with something and shes trying to spread it for revenge or frustration, she didnt use any lub and put the condom on me backwards, i didnt noticed because i was kinda drunk, and when it brakes she laugh and seemed very happy, this might sound insane but its truth. Im thinking about buy a gun and make sure that she will not do this to anyone, if my theory is right. Please God make sure im wrong.

Im from Portugal, they say that 4/10.000 are hiv+ the highest in europe. I dunno how many prostitutes are infected though....
She didn't seem drug user, she looked healthy, 33 years old Caucasian big *** and boobs. but that doesn't prove anything. i think she put the condom on me backwards because she said so....i didn't noticed also seem too tight. I regret this sooo much.

The fact that was only a matter of 2 secs exposure can influence the odds or is just the same of unprotected sex?
I haven't seen any studies about this so far and either about the hygiene with cold water an soap i did 5 second after.

Miguel, What country are you in?  A low percentage of CSW's have HIV in the US.  Could you tell if she was an IV drug user?  Sorry to hear about the condom failure but that stuff happens when you pay to play.  Even if she was HIV pos you chances of contracting it on a single exposure were only 1:1000; so don't get too worked up over this.  Just get yourself tested as noted above and much more likely than not you will be just fine.

You assume all prostitutes have AIDS? Well not all have HIV let alone AIDS. You were told test. Test at 6 weeks then if negative test at 3 months to obtain your conclusive test result.

First of i want to thank you for the breve reply, and i really want to believe that and wake up to this nightmare.
Im afraid because :
1- she didn't seem much worried, if she was clean probably freak out as i did.
2- im not circumcised which makes me more vulnerable.
3- i tried to fix the accident by washing with soap but my skin is very sensitive there and i felt some burning afterwards, did i make it worst?
4- she already gave my herpes, i was herpes free before this.

I've already lost weight about 7 lbs in 8 days, i cant eat proper....and had suicidal thoughts.
whats the test accuracy 3 weeks?maybe i should have take the hiv emergency medication but the doctor said i wasn't.
one advice to everyone, don't got to prostitutes, ever. the risk is too high and even worst if you're drunk.
