Is 80 days conclusive?!

When they say a full 3months to be conclusive do they mean test out to 90days? I tested at 80days..is that good enough? The nurse at the clinic didn't seem to be worried about it. Is 80days good?

You don't have HIV. A negative test result at 80 days is NOT going to change at 84 days, or 90 days, or at any point. You have nothing to be worried about. Relax and move on and enjoy life =)

depends on where you live...U.S. uses 13 weeks...everyone else counts 12 weeks as 3 months.  either will do.

with that being said...at 12 weeks / or 84 days...you tested just 4 days shy of the guideline.  your test wont change in 4 days at this point

Hi jennykate,

Since both your bf and yourself have had tested. The decision to have unprotected intercourse depends on mutual trust.

If for whatever reason you really really cannot bring yourself to trust him, then having unprotected intercourse with him will cause you this anxiety all over again.

You gotta make a decision once and for all whether or not to trust your bf, and take on the level of protection according to your decision. Having constant emotional distress, i feel, is going to be harmful to your loving relationship with him.

May God bless

I think its time for you to put the HIV scare behind you and enjoy life.. No need to stress over something when you have been given the clear... You results will not change so I would say no need for another test.. Goodluck in the future..

Yea u r sort of right reallyregret. My bf&i had both been tested, but I ended up having crazy things happen to my body once we had unprotected. Anyway, I think I can't accept my results bc I have so much guilt over this! I feel like the test hasn't picked it up yet and I'm just doomed. I'm seeing a therapist about it, but its not helping much.

Hi jennykate,

If i did not remember wrongly, you hadn't had a really risky incident in the first place.

You really had no risk, is there something that is making you not trust your 80 day test?

May God bless

"i'm just feeling so anxious over all of this !"

i dont think you will be able to relax until you have tested at 90 days...so please do so and put this behind you.
