Is dirrhea an earl symptom of hiv or not

Okay this seems to be the only thing on this board that is not consistnely answered.  Even on the Dr. Forum.  Under some people's posts staing they have diarrhea the Dr posted not likely associated with ARS and under other people's post it says diarrhea can be part of ARS. CONFUSING MUCH! I understand that you can not diagnoses based off symptoms but we on this forum want to be educated as well and I would like this clarified.  What is the data on this concerning diarrhea? Thanks

Okay got that!  It's interesting that more than 20 something years has passed and it still seems like there is not much they know about HIV!

"Symptoms are non-specific" means that the symptoms that accompany acute HIV infection resemble those of many other viral infections that are far more common than HIV. The symptoms result from an innate immune response to viral infection.

ARS, when it occurs, usually does not include diarrhea.
