Possible HIV Exposure?

I had protected anal sex with my partner about 5 days ago, however the condom broke twice during the process. My partner stopped having sex immediately upon the condom breaking the first time, but neither of us noticed the condom broke the second time; however he did not ejaculate during anal sex.

About 2 days after we had sex I got a very heavy hit of Strep throat, and I'm still suffering from it. Is this a possible sign of HIV? I was tested yesterday morning (it's been 3 months since I had sex with my last partner, so yesterday's test was to confirm I was okay from my other partner) and I was HIV negative, however I'll need to wait another 3 months to know I'm safe from my current partner.

Is this strep a sign that I could be HIV positive?

Thanks,
Ereshkigal

Don't stress yourself for longer than you need to, read through the Dr's forums for getting information on test times.

Read read your first post.

Protected sex 5 days ago. 2 days later I got hit with strep throat. You had a test from your first partner at 3 months test was negative. You had sex again now you want to know if you will be okay. Well guess what your first test didn't have anything to do with that second round of sex. So you need to test out to 3 months again.

So I'll be okay? This is merely a separate sickness?

Symptoms don't mean a thing. You know the story on testing.
