Is it possible to get infected by prick of tailor pin?

The other day, I was getting alterations on a dress of mine and inadvertently pricked my self in the hand with one of the pins the tailor was using for my alternations. Am I at risk?

Only non-sex risk for HIV is sharing needles that they inject with, and you were a long way from that. Zero risk.

Thank you very much for your quick response. I guess I need to better understand the differences between needles used for injects and just sewing needles/push pins. Thank you!
Injection needles are hollow and yours wash't, and it would have to be shared quickly to be a risk because the virus effectively dies instantly on air contact so the only live virus would have to be inside the hollow needle.
Just to add to this, it would need to be a hollow-bore needle attached to a syringe, so that the blood would have been extracted directly from the first person into a vacuum (the syringe), and injected directly into the second person by pushing down the plunger and releasing the blood, without the blood EVER having been exposed to air.  And, it would need to be injected into the bloodstream of the 2nd person - not just a prick under the skin or into other tissue.  It actually takes a lot of work for a person to get infected this way, and would be almost 100% exclusively applicable to a health care setting or a drug-needle sharing incident.

Even though that scenario would seem risky, only a handful of healthcare workers have ever been infected by an accidental needle injection.
Thank you very much for both of your thorough responses. I feel much better now knowing that I could not be infected by a simple pin prick at a tailor. I really appreciation the concise explanations and for giving me peace of mind. Thank you!
