Male had short unprotected vaginal sex. Risk?

I (male, 27 years old) had an one night stand just a week ago with a woman (40 years old).
Before we had sex she told me that she has been for many years in a relationship. After the breakup she had 2 sexpartners before me. One of them she told me was protected the other i didnt ask about.

At the begining we had unprotected vaginal sex for i would say maximum 30 seconds, then i put a condom on. I didn´t clean my penis after the short unprotected vaginal sex but only put on the condom.

How are my chances for hiv? Her status is unknown.

PEP is not effective after 72 hours so if you were given it for an exposure back in January then you're dealing with doctors who literally know nothing about medicine. Furthermore, taking PEP increases the window period to 90 days post last dose of PEP. Any HIV taken before then is not conclusive.

He had an exposure a week ago and is self-medicating with his old left over PEP.
HIVorrier - Likely the reason they hand out PEP like candy in your country is they want to stamp out HIV and will go to any lengths with anyone who has any chance of HIV without regard for your  health.
I had an exposure of unknown length due to condom break with a woman from south africa of unknown status. This is why i was given pep back then. I talked to the woman i had sex with 1 week ago and we agreed to bith go testing this week. Thx for support and honesty.

Thank you. You are absolutely right. I will get in contact with my partner from back then and will ask her to go testing. I know it has been unresponsible. Thx for your feeback and honesty.

Yes. I am on PEP. To be honest it is a stock of a previous encounter where i didn't need to take any more as she and me got tested and bith were negative. It is enough for 25 days.
In my country, PEP is given also when the status of the partner is unknown.

Your country's upside down view has nothing to do with it, since you are an adult and should be able to assess which is the greatest danger.

I don't normally lecture people but your case is special since you chose to repeat previous mistakes. You are playing with fire taking PEP after all the info you had back in January.
It would be wise to use a condom in future rather than take the risk of permanent health damage from PEP,
I have always used condoms, except if my partner and me went for a test. My exposure in january was due to a condom break.
I`ve done this mistake last week and won`t do it again.

You don't even know if she has HIV and because of many other factors you have an unquantifiable risk.
You can take a 4th gen test after 28 days for a conclusive result. Try to not worry while waiting, because nothing is pointing toward you having HIV.

Or, if you can get her to test immediately if  she hasn't had any unprotected in the last 28 days before she met you.Her negative would mean that you can't have it.

Thx for answer. Does the window period prolongue when on pep, do you know?
You are on PEP? That is potentially toxic and only recommended for when you know the other person has HIV, whereas she seems to be low risk of it.
You mentioned in another post that you are a hypochondriac so did your doctor put you on it just to get rid of you?
No, i`ve had a serious risk encounter in january and got the meds prescribed by a virology emergency hospital. The doctor adviced me to take them. And yes i am hypohondric especially concerning HIV.
