Menstruation Hiv

Hi, I'm hoping someone can answer my question. I googled whether menstrual blood increases the chance of infection from the female to her partner, which I assumed, but was directed to this site where the Doctors on here indicated it doesn't significantly do so.

Quote from link: "As far as menstrual blood, while it varies from person to person, there are no data to suggest that sex with an infected woman during her menstrual period is any more infectious than sex when she is not having her period."

Now the information online wasn't consistent on this with at least one site saying that there is an increased chance of infection.

Quote from link: "The levels of HIV in vaginal fluid vary. They are likely to be highest around the time of your period, when cells containing HIV are most likely to be found in vaginal fluid, along with blood."

The quote from this site (medhelp) was in 2011 while the quote contridicting was in 2014. Has there been an update on this issue?
