Mouth issues

French kissing with someone who tested negative ~two weeks before, but who I believe sex life is very high risk. Lots of tongue involved.

Issues since:

-spots on tongue
-white sore on the side of tongue
-couPle spots on lower gum

No other symptoms other then scratchy throat 3-10 days after exposure.

It seems to me that  you really wanted to have the virus. STOP perseverating on the disease that you dont have. It's time for you to accept and believe overwhelming and irrefutable evidence that you didn't contract HIV from that incident. Saliva is a sterile fluid meaning free from all germs. If saliva is infectious then billions and trillions are now infected. It's time to move on.

Your situation has been correctly assessed as a no risk situation for HIV, therefore any 'symptoms' that you bring to this forum have nothing to do with HIV. Please refer to the forum guidelines (post below) and take up any additional concerns about symptoms with a doctor.

This white sore on the left side of my tongue hurts. It looks like a pimple. I'm scared this is a sign of HIV

And isn't there a difference between "sharing food/drinks" different then tongue to tongue action with swapping saliva?

Exactly, couldn,t have said it better myself.I been looking after hiv+ people for years.Sharing food and drinks with them.My best friend has been living with hiv for 25years.He and his girlfriend come over for dinner every few weeks.I have never at any time hard any fears of transmission because I know how the virus is transmitted.People have to educate themselves that,s all.

I agree. I guess it's just like, how do ppl know I'd it really "isn't possible". Most people wouldn't stop at just "French kissing"

People can post any suspected route of transmission they want, does it mean its true?I don,t think so.That,s not even theoretically possible. There have never been any documented cases of hiv ever being transmitted this way.Are you suggesting that he is the first. If this route of transmission were possible there would be a hell of alot more people infected with hiv than there is now.Same applies to oral sex and kissing. It just doesn,t add up.

And what about the case a user posted to Doctor HHH about the man who believed he was infected by saliva from his HIV positive son?

Saliva contains certain protiens and enzymes that render the hiv virus inactive and therefore unable to infect. That,s a fact. The few cases where oral sex was thought to be the route of hiv transmission has never been substantiated.

I understand. But can u explain to me why the Docs think oral to penile is "low risk@ " and deep French kissing even with cuts or blood is "no risk". I feel like they are just as equally opportunistic to become infected.

Any hiv test you have concerning this incident will come up negative. That,s because you never had a risk in the first place.

This was 5 weeks and 5 days ago. Tongue dots started at about 2 weeks-3 weeks after. Have since cleared up. Side tongue bump started today. I started smoking around the time this incident happened. I had a oral teat at ~4 1/2 weeks, negative.

French Kissing is not a risk of hiv transmission.Your tongue issues are not related to hiv but something else. You need to go and see your doctor to find out wants going on with your tongue.Same applies to your scratchy throat.
