Mouth ulcers ARS

I asked a few day ago about a possible exposure (was too drunk to remember if I took condom of or not). I wasn't too worried about HIV until I got 2 mouth ulcers along with general cold/flu bug approx 3/4 weeks post-exposure an now my girlfriend also has flu at home (I am now away).

When I research about mouth ulcers inside mouth (canker sores) - just about every website describes them being as a symptom for Acute HIV! I find this disturbing because other symptoms such as sore throat, rash etc don't come up with HIV been a cause in every website. Does this mean that mouth ulcers are a big sign of ARS?

I was ill with flu like symptoms, sore throat, shivers, ulcers, fatigue for about a week.

Thanks for any help

"Can be", you know what, anything "can be" a sign of anything. Things are printed to cover all bases. They have nothing to do with ARS.

I realise the symptoms are non-specific and u have to test at 3 months... But why is there such significance placed upon mouth ulcers (canker sores) inside mouth? Are these a major sign of ARS or something? I just find it strange that when you type in sore throat, flu symptoms etc it doesn't mention HIV very readily but almost all sites including National Health Service; they say a cause of mouth ulcers can be ARS!
