Need Doc help about NGU and poking pain

Hi Doc HHH,

I have unprotected sex 3x with a hooker on late Oct. Just 2 days later I notice a burning pain in the balls and uethra. My inner thigh also painful as well as the back of my thigh. Got smear test and doc said nothing. I went back to the same clinic and did another smear test bacause the pain is unbearble and detected NGU. I was given Zithromax 1g oral. On the first week the pain gone but came back on the 2nd week( pain in uethra and balls buring).
Did a smear test and everything is fine so doc ask me to wait for 2 weeks and see how it goes.

On the 4th week developed body poking/needle pain esp on my toes/fingers sometiime on back of knee, thigh and lower back. Went back to the same clinic and Doc gave me Erythromycin 250mg 4 x daily for 2 weeks and metronidazole 200mg 3x daily for 1 week. I take religiously for 1 week but how come my uethra still feel painful and the needle poking pian never go away.

I did a HIV test on the 4.5-5 week after exposure and its negative. I will need to test again to get conclusive result.

Please Doc, why after taking Zathromax,Erythromycin and metronidazole , I still feel pain in my uethra. The worst part is I got this needle poking pain on my fingers, lower back, toes, thigh etc...

I really need your advice.

Thanks

antibiotics do not affect testing.

how accurate is a 4-5 week test?  accurate for a 4-5 week test...but nowhere near conclusive.

test at 3 months post exposure.

Hi Lizzie,

I got a question. How accurate is the test result 4.5-5 weeks after exposure.
I am also taking those antibo which I mentioned earlier on and i'm afraid the result will not be accurate.

it will cost you 25.00 to ask a question.  he is not going to tell you anything differently though.  you had unprotected sex and need to test for a conclusive result.  symptoms cannot diagnose hiv...only a test will do that.
