Well. 4th generation 1/2 ag/ab test was negative:) it was done at 7 weeks and 3 days, would this be considered 100% conclusive?
Thanks for your support and analysis chima, I appreciate it
You'll be fine. By all means please feel free to post your negative result here when you get your test done.
Move along is kind of a harsh phrase for someone panicking about the trajectory or their life, but again, thank you and I truly hope you're right, I'll let this post know the results when they come in
I'm not answering your what if questions. You had no risk and arguing about it won't change that fact. You can either believe it or not but your non risk has been fully assessed and it's time for you to move along.
What if there was a hole or tear in the tip of the condom and I didn't know? Jesus I know this sounds crazy and paranoid even as I write it but I can't help thinking or feeling this way, I'm literally going crazy, and every morning for the last 6 days I've had a low fever like 99-99.5 until I take Tylenol which makes me even more nervous iuuugh
It's not minimal, it's non existent. So go ahead and test if that's what will make you feel better but you were never exposed in the first place so there will be nothing for the test to be looking for.
I know chance of exposure was minimal, but crazy things happen sometimes, I can't think of any other way to explain a rash/fever combo at the 6 week mark:/ again I hope you're all right and I'll post the results when I get them
You had no risk from what you've described. No risk means no exposure which means nothing to test for. I suggest you stop worrying and find something else to occupy your time. Go binge watch Archer on Netflix instead because it's hilarious and I guarantee it will take your mind off of your NO RISK situation.
Well I took a 4th gen test today.... I'm paralyzed with fear although you've all said there is nothing to worry about I feel deep down inside that I already know the results are not going to be good, I'll know Tuesday....but I just can't shake this horrible feeling:(
It's not the condom I'm concerned about, it's the finger in the anus part, I just feel 100% sure that somehow through my cuticles I acquired hiv, are you all sure it's not possible that way?
You had no risk for HIV. You may be exposed to HIV if you:
1) Have unprotected (no condom) penetrative anal or vaginal sex, OR
2) Share IV drug equipment with other IV drug users.
That's it. Anything else you can think of is not a risk, including fingering with inflamed cuticles or cuts or anything.
How accurate is an oraquick rapid swab test at 7 weeks? I'm loosing my mind
