good indicator...not conclusive
actually I miss calculated the weeks and got confused with the dates, i was exposed on 13th of June 2010, that makes it 8 weeks... so far got 3 tests done 2- rapid and 1- ELISA/ELFA all the three tests found to be negative... should i consider it a good sign of not being infected with the HIV?

ok...thank you... i will certainly go for a test in 3 months...
drhhh says he has never seen a negative test at 6-8 week post exposure turn positive later on..your 5 week negative sounds good..but you need to follow up with a tridot or elisa at 3 months post exposure for a conclusive result...
5 weeks- ELISA test has come negative... Does this means i am HIV negative?
I want to know what are the chances of me getting infected with HIV... considering the results of the tests so far... I am suffering from stress and thinking over it again and again...
most likely you cought a urinary tract infection with that unprotected exposure..and antibiotics should clear it up..you negative tests are very encouraging but you need to take a antibody test at 6-8 weeks for a goof indication of your status and a test at 3 months for a conclusive result..that is the stand in this forum regarding hiv testing
