Hi there, i am an 18yr old male.
Not that i need to mention this night was a mistake, but i engaged in unprotected sex
with a female, who claimed she was clean.
I have a few questions, firstly. I have been to the clinic and am awaiting results for STDs.
If i am found positive for any, does this mean it more likely i have contracted the virus?
The girl was only 16, but i think might have had a couple of other sexual partners who i dont know about.
This wasnt in a built up area, I do plan to get tested.

so if that person was HIV positive, is it a 1 in 2000 risk that i would get the virus from her?

No it does not mean you contracted HIV if you have some other std
A one time exposure carries a 1 in 2000 per episode if the person is hiv positive
3 months is conclusive for an hiv test 84 to 90 days
