Needle stick injury

I am HCW,during vaccination camp for hepatitis B., I got needle stick injury after I.m injection while recapping it as it pierces the cover, however at that time syringe was not  attached to needle,I have read on your previous reply that if syringe is not attached to needle there is no risk for hiv,....my concern is that while recapping the thrust at base of needle usually causes some fluid to come out at tip,can it go inside me while prick and infect me.,however prick was superficial with single drop of blood came out on pressing it.... .i will be obliged for your reply

As noted, you didn't have a risk, but since you are a health care worker, you should always report any needle sticks to your workplace and follow their protocol.

Respected sir, kindly reply regarding my concern as fluid may ooze out while recapping due to thrust at base of needle and enter inside during prick

If syringe is not attached to needle there is no risk for hiv. Nothing left to say.

You must be very anxious since you keep asking what your post already answered, so talk to your doctor.
Since you are a HCW, there must be a needle protocol where you work.

"previous reply that if syringe is not attached to needle there is no risk for hiv" That quote has answered your own concern/question.
