Thanks for all your replies. I seem to be having some anxiety about HIV. I have been tested 5 times this year since January. Whenever I wake up with a pucncture wound or anything that looks like a needle stick I worry about it for three months then go and get tested. This is no way to live. Is HIv anxiety comon and what can you do about it ?  I feel like getting tested one more time but if there is no chance of hiv from a needle stick "and I have no idea what poked me that night" I think it would be another setback. If you have any suggestions please let me know

Teak

By reading your other forms it sounds like you definatley know about HIV. Why has there been a handfull of cases where people have gotten hiv in a health care setting from needle sticks only like 56 but were these people needle sticks that were injected into there viens

So to follow up I know there is a small risk in a healthcare setting 0.3% i believe 1 in every 300 but what is the huge diffent from outside a health care setting if they are very close in time from Hiv + person to person that pricks themselves. "random example guy a user shoots up and then you sit down where he shot up and poke yourself with the needle within minutes"
