So? There is no reason to suspect it's due to HIV, which does not cause sore throat as its only symptom. As I said above, discuss it with your health care provider.
Thanks Doc,
My sore throat is still there, nothing seems to be working, have taken 3 different courses of antibiotics now and as well as many "Home Remedies". So that is almost 3 weeks now and I been through quite a few Throat specialists.
Congratulations on the apparent success of your HBV treatment. However, your questions would be more appropriate for the provider who prescribed the Truvada. That treatment should be protective against HIV, and in any case you describe an essentially zero risk exposure. Even if your partner has HIV and if you weren't taking the antiretroviral drug, there is no realistic risk of catching HIV via oral sex or condom-protected vaginal sex.
As far as your symptoms are concerned, they cannot possibly be due to any infection caught during the sexual encounter. No infection causes symptoms so quickly, and HIV symptoms don't show up for at least 7-10 days. Sounds like you caught a cold. To my knowledge, Truvada doesn't cause sore throat.
Bottom line: I see no worries here, but you should confirm this with the doc responsible for your hepatitis treatment.
Best wishes-- HHH, MD
