If you didn't participate in a risky activity, your symptoms are irrelevant. Hell, if you did participate in a risky activity, your symptoms still aren't conclusive. HIV cannot be diagnosed through symptoms.
NO. You didn't have a risk.
Is it common for HIV ars to show 6-7 days following an exposure and without a fever of any sort?
I realise the risk is extremely low, but it can happen and the fact that I was feeling unwell has stuck in my mind. 7 days following the oral sex episode I experienced muscle aches, a tickle/sore throat and headache that lasted approx 8days.
Oral Sex - No risk
Window period - 6 weeks (Considering the fact that 6 weeks are considered to be conclusive in Aus - Due to IV gen HIV tests used broadly.)
no need to test period. you did not have a risk from this encounter.
Sorry, you didn't have a risk. You don't need testing and if you did 4 weeks would be to early.
I did not have unprotected anal sex. The individual wanted to have unprotected anal sex but I DID NOT ALLOW IT, he didnt even get close to penetrate me. My fear rests with the fact that if he wanted to do it with me, he would have done it with many others, hence giving him a blow job was risky because he was more likely to be HIV infected.
I will test at 6 weeks because it is considered conclusive in Australia, a 6 week test is final here, but my question is, should I relieve my anxiety with a 4 week (28 day) test so as to put my mind at ease so I can study for my exams, is it likely that I would show positive at 4 weeks if I was truely infected by perfoming oral sex on this individual?
You didn't have a risk for oral but you did for unprotected anal. Test at 3 months post exposure and collect your conclusive result.
