My partner tested negative 3.5 months after having unprotected sex with another guy 2 months before having sex with me. My encounter with her was very brief, probs 10 seconds of unprotected penetration. The next week she tested negative (7 weeks post her first risky encounter)
I tested negative 7 weeks after that encounter, but a day after the test I developed mild fever (up to 37.4C)and swollen glands, fever went away after 4 days but followed by dry coughs until now (14 days already), and mild diarrhea for the past 3 dahs. She tested again last eeek with a negative result at 3.5 months. Ubtil this day my tongue seems whiter than usual but I'm not so sure if this has been my normal tongue colour. Have I been infected?
Thanks guys
P.s. all of our tests were Vikia Rapid Antibody Tests

Hi,

Your questions have been conclusively answered in this post and the previous one.

Your partner has tested negative for HIV and that means she cannot pass anything she doesn't have.

There's no new information to be derived, hence we are now closing this thread.

Hey champ hang In there for a start !

7 weeks antibody test you say ? . Well champ my personal info I think you are home free almost almost !

Some experts on medhelp have said 8weeks is conclusive for antibody even though offical time is 12 weeks

Quite frankly 6weeks antibody test is almost almost 99 percent these days

But hey why don't you just get 4th generation antigen antibody test right now that's conclusive at 4weeks

As for symptoms I think they are late for ars . Ars starts from 10 to 15 days after exposure and almost never after 4weeks . And when you get ars you can forget yourself for atleast 2weeks they won't clear up    My personal opinion you should be okay but do 4th generation test now antigen /antibody test  and you should be negative

Or antibody test at 8weeks should be good enough !

So just one more test keep calm you have done the difficult part

Hey champ!
My source of optimism is that my partner, tested negative 3.5 months after the encounter before me, is that a good sign?
She is conclusively negative as
Kkk670 pointed out.
Obviously if she doesn't have HIV then she can't give it to you, so I am not sure why you think you had a risk or wasted your time testing.
