Pep and tongue sores

I have been on PEP for one week now.  I just noticed today 2 bright red lines under my tongue and what appears to be piece of skin hanging from it.  Has anyone seen this from taking PEP before or is HIV definitely taking hold?  I looked up pics for STD's and nothing came up.  I found one pic online that looked like this and the guy had no idea what it was neither did anyone else.  I heard there were many side effects of pep and I have had none so far except feeling a little anxious like I just quit smoking.

If this is an STD like syphilis or something would that mean the pep is not going to work?  I heard that if you get syphilis it helps the HIV spread?

Please help - a little freaked out.  Cant get in to see doctor until tomorrow afternoon
