Pin prick (Teak)

Hello all .....I was poked by a pin just before an Hiv person and blood was there on my finger tip.I also read that Hiv once exposed cannot infect. My worry is that what if the outside temperature is same as body's temperature.Because there is no change inside or outside the host.

Plzzzz help

My answer doesn't change. Please read my second and third paragraphs again because I've already answered your questions. I have nothing to add.

You said you were poked first before the other person. So whether or not the person has HIV is irrelevant because you were poked first like you said in your post.

Even still, getting poked with a pin is not a risk anyway in any scenario. Because a pin does not penetrate into the blood stream. It's a superficial capillary that bleeds and not a major vein so pins are not a risk of HIV in any scenario. You had no risk at all from this and no risk obviously means no test.

Teak does not post here anymore and hasn't been here for several years so don't expect a response from him. He would tell you exactly the same thing that you had no risk from this and no reason to test. And then he would get mad if you kept asking irrelevant follow up questions because nothing that you add is going to change the NO RISK of this.

Hi, what do you mean you were poked with a pin? Someone was poking people with a pin and you got poked after they poked an HIV positive person?
Anyway, usually transmission of HIV via needle sticks occurs when hollow-bore needles are used as these allow for enough infected blood to be transferred directly from from the HIV positive person to the HIV negative person. This does not seem to be your case - not even clear if there was blood on the pin to start with  - so it's unlikely that there was any risk. If you are unsure whether there was any risk you may want to talk to your doctor and explain the situation in more detail.
