Please help - fingered anally

Hello doctor,
I went to a massage parlor and was fingered anally for a good 10 minutes. I don't know if she had cuts in her fingers ( very possible she did). Also, I noticed bleeding on toilet paper the next day after the event occurred.

Two days later I had a fever and chills, then I was fine for the next six days. I became sick for a week with high fever, chills, night sweats loss of appetite. Then I found out I had ascending cholangitis in the hospital. They gave me IV antibiotics to clear infection.

I had an HIV antibody test 30 days after the possible anal fingering exposure. I still have night sweats on and off and neck pain.

Did I catch HIV even though my 4 week test came back negative? Was I at risk if she was bleeding on her finger from inside my anus? Please let me know as I am very anxious.

Thanks

Then you summit your question to the CDC and have them explain to you. It was not a risk and no matter what spins you put on it will not change the answer.

The CDC says it is a risk. Can you tell me why this is not the case?

No. If you cut the end off your finger then we might have an exposure.

Thanks Teak, but even if her finger is bleeding while inside my anus? Can't I be infected this way? In finding the recurring night sweats and neck pain very strange.

Sorry for the questions.

Thank you again.

HIV is not transmitted by fingering.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child
