Please help

Hello,

I need your advise please.

I made protected sex 1 week ago with a sex worker and then i found that the condom broke. Maybe after 1 minute, i changed the condom (put a new one) and continued. The whole sex relation took around 10 minutes. I do not know the HIV status of the sex worker.

The doctor told me the risk of transmission from a single episode is low. So there is no need for Pep. Now, after 1 week, there is only minor pain in my testicles but no other symptoms.

I am really worried. Please i need your advise.

Many thanks.

Every time someone has a sexual encounter they regret anxiety takes over and they search the net as they critique their bodies.
Symptoms of acute hiv mirror other things so testing is what you go by. Chances of catching another type of STD is more probable.
As for hiv, take a 4th generation test 28 days after your condom brake. This will be virtually conclusive.
A regular antibody test at 12 weeks will be conclusive.

If a 4th gen test isn't available, a 3rd gen at 6 weeks.

After 2 weeks from exposure, i had runny nose and mouth and throat ulcers. The runny nose have gone except the mouth and throat ulcers and thus feeling a sore throat.

I am really worried. Should the ulcers and sore throat be combined with a rash or fever to be a symptom of hiv??

When can i take a typical antobody test the earliest time after exposure??

Your Dr is right.
Hiv symptoms generally occurs 2~4 weeks after infection.
Your 1 week symptoms are not classic ARS .
I would suggest a 4th generation test at 4 weeks post condom break to play it safe due to her profession. Hiv is not easily spread female to male. Other STDs or STIs are more probable but not guaranteed.

Thank you. But is it really a low risk? Minor pain in stomach is a symptom of what? When do symptoms start to appear?

Thank you
