Possibility of hiv a second time?

I was diagnosed with hiv about a year ago. Not on meds yet either. I had a high risk sexual encounter with another hiv positive person. What are the odds of getting hiv twice for either of us since the virus isn't exactly the same for both or us. Will we most likely experience the window symptoms again at 2 to 4 weeks out.

Great. I had no idea. Should I suspect to see the window period sickness again around the 2 to 4 week mark.

There's a risk of superinfection due to introducing different strains of the virus.

I understand you can't get it twice. However you could introduce one persons hiv and add that to the current hiv you would already be infected with right?

I thought you could pick up another strand of the virus. Would you re experience  the window phase again since your body has a different version of the HIV virus.

You cannot get HIV "twice"....you're either infected or you're not.

That being said, there are still reasons why two infected people should not have unprotected sex.  You need to ask your ID doc for some education about HIV.
