No, with wart(s) or not, if you had a possible exposure to HIV (which are unprotected vaginal/anal sex or sharing drug works), then you might have a chance to contract HIV, and if that happened, a test 3 months post-exposure would come out conclusive.
Yes and I understand and I am def getting tested in a few days when I make it back to the states. But what my initial problem and concern is the fact that if you have HIV and you do not know it and at some point before or after contacting HIV, is it possible that after only 9 months of having HIV that it would cause dormant HPV (warts) to appear? Because I read some many things about the percentage of males who have contracted HPV have no symptoms and that 1% do and its caused because of a low immune system and I fear that maybe I have contracted HIV and after 9 months its lowered my immune system to make dormant HPV visible.
Thank you so much for your guys time!
HPV and HIV are two different viruses. HPV are much easier to acquire rather than HIV. If you have HPV then you are much greater at risk on HIV during unprotected sex. People living with HIV are much greater at risk on HPV. YOu need to take a test to know your status.
I am just wondering if it's possible that I've had dormant state of hpv and after 9 months HIV lowered my immune system enough for it to appear.
You had unprotected sex and condom failure.Testing is a very good idea under those circumstances.Hiv is never diagnosed on the basis of symptoms alone.
No HIV does not cause warts.
