Pre chewed food. Four year old.

Hi.

I have read of infants and toddlers getting infected through pre chewed food by an infected care giver or parent due to an underdeveloped immune system.

Is a 4 year old considered to be at risk by eating pre chewed barbecued meat by an infected person? Are their immune systems developed.

Thank you in advance.

hiv is INSTANTLY dead in air so the only non-sexual risk is sharing hollow needles that you use to inject with, and that is if the hiv can stay alive inside for a very short time. Any hiv on chicken was dead when it dripped onto it.

You should stop googling because the claim that people got hiv from food is just a lie that DOESN'T even make sense.

Thank you for the quick response. I was confused by conflicting information. I was just concerned because my friend of unknown status, tore pieces of meat into bite size pieces for my four year old with her teeth and fed it to my four year old immediately. Not sure if my friend had bleeding gums.

Can I put this behind me without testing?
You just repeated what you said the first time. Reread about lie.

First of all, stop chewing up a 4 year olds food.  They have teeth and are quite capable of chewing their own food. If you want to cut food up, use a knife, don't chew it.  I'm just saying that for general hygiene purposes, that's not sanitary. However, it is not a risk for HIV.  HIV is not transmitted through food.  And saliva and air inactivate the virus. The only risks are to have unprotected vaginal or anal sex or to share IV drug needles to inject drugs (only to inject, needle pokes are not a risk either).  And, is this you chewing up the food?  Are you HIV positive?

No. It's not me chewing up the food.  Thank you for the information. It puts my mind at ease.

The only non-sexual risk is sharing hollow needles and there were not any hollow needles in the food so nothing was injecting the child. The word "only" is very restrictive and presents an insurmountable roadblock to whatever those liars have told you about their silly claim of food-borne hiv infections.
