Prep failure

April 29th 2017, I met up with a top who claims he's negative, even though barebacking was his first option. I have been on Prep since October 2016, I take it consistently. As the bttm I always use Condoms as a 2nd layer of protection, anyway, while having sex, the condom broke, the guy pulls out and says, I think the condom broke, then retracted his statement and claimed it hadn't, he then continues to  insert his penis inside but I checked the condom to make sure and in fact it was broken. I replaced it with a new one and then  proceeded to finished. I felt this guy was  sketchy. He did not cum inside me but his penis was inside me without protection when the condom broke the first time.
Two weeks after the  incident I had almost two weeks of  diarrhea and lost 7 lbs, for the first time the fat around my body has melted away, I was having bone pain. Lots of people around me say I look sick and way thin. Those were the two big symptoms since having been exposed. My question, is it possible I've been exposed to HIV and that prep though taken as recommend failed to protect me and what I was  experiencing was seroconversion?

PrEP may alter testing times.  It is best for you to work with an infectious disease specialist to determine the best time to test.

There are zero drugs/protocols on the market that are 100% effective for anything; however, it is highly effective.

Anyone lose weight so that proves nothing. Only a test is conclusive and you can do a conclusive 4th gen test now since you are past 28 days. I can't comment on the Prep effectiveness but I don't think it is 100% guaranteed, but maybe someone else will comment.
