ok. so if it's possible you can delete this topic and i'm not going to talk about this anymore
I agree with Vance, this thread is off topic and not appropriate for this forum. This forum is for assesing HIV risks, not to debate about medical systems from country to country.
It is not necessary for ANYONE to have a DUO test, which is why the great majority of us on this forum do not recommend it. It is a waste of time and money when a 3 month antibody test is sufficient. I don't believe in paying extra money just to lessen anxiety. If someone is excessively anxious, then they need to deal with the anxiety, not pay all kinds of unnecessary money (that many people don't have) on a test that isn't needed.
MANY tests in the medical field require waiting (eg, biopsy to rule out a cancer diagnosis). Of course that causes anxiety, but it is par for the course. This should be no different.
Because Insurance companies are involved and often they are put on restrictions by the government. It's a mess and not a topic for debate in this forum.
No, I'm not blame them for everything. But some of them could charge a price less abusive, after all are the same corporations that are profiting here in my country charging the amount I told you ($33).
Why do you have to pay 5 times more?
Yes lets blame big corporations for everything.
Ok. So that information will be useful only to american citizen feel cheated by the big corporations.
No you can not bargin about a medical test or bill in the US.
In fact, I do not know if it's avaible in the US. I thought it was because Teak it costs $165, but he did not say where

Well, it matters to all those who have to pay for a test. This information may help people to orgnize themselves to bargain with big corporations. Maybe this information is meaningless for you, but not to everybody.
I did not know duo tests were available in the us
And why does this matter?
