Rare/new groups of hiv
My wife left me 3 years ago and slept with ( no protection) a IV drug user who has been in and out of prison. 2 weeks later she became ill with the worst flu. She lost 15 lbs had rashes on her chest and arms. She had blood in her stool, and went to Er was diagnosed with flu and sinus infection on cat scan. ( having horrible headaches) she had a black tongue, and developed thrush 2-3 days later. In the mean time I'm having a horrible cough for almost a month. And headache. ( never had them like this) these were the only things I noticed in myself I brushed it off. She tells me weeks later she had sex with this man! Now almost 3 years later, She is still sick. We both had a hiv blood test. She had 5-6 test. Also had a cd test it was 640 and 1.17 as a ratio. Her cd 8 was 480 ( roughly) she had been suffering of diarrhea and her eyes and mouth were dry all the time. We since have had 2 kids. 22 months and 6 months. Strangely she was diagnosed with sjrogrens syndrome with a double stranded antibody BUT no Ana no lupus no RA dr ( rumatoligist) can't find anything and is still working with other doctors to see why she has a double strand. My daughters, oldest one has yeast infections on a monthly basis. My youngest was born with patika all over her skin. Both girls have had malabsorption and are on special formula. They get sick so much with conjunctivitis, pneumonia and the flu. Rashes all the time and crazy eczema. So now what to do? I'm at a loss and my question IS There OR COULD we have HIV? New strain??? Also, my wife had a infection in her foot cellulitis with no cut. Was treated at ER a month ago. I somehow got red bumps under my eyes like lesions that lasted 3 months! I feel a lot more tired and sleep like my 6 month old.... 10-11 hrs a night. Please help us

Dr. Teak can you please tell me if I had the 3 rd generation test is it the same as the 4th. After a year? I read the 4th has p24 and 3 does not? Wouldn't the 3 rd eventually detect the p24 antigen? Just not as soon correct?
Sorry, that makes little to no sense. The test names 3rd 4 th generation are they here in the USA? If so, are they running the 3rd or 4 th duo test?
US uses 3rd and 4th generation test. You do not have HIV. Keep working with your doctor for your concerns they have nothing to do with HIV.
Yes, we ( wife and I ) tested at a center together a year ago. 2 years after incident. Blood, finger prick. Question, Are all new hiv test 2010 and later a 3rd generation in the USA? Or those are just test 2,3,4th generation names outside the USA? Just curious if you know the answer to this greatly appreciated, thank you in advance Sir
