Return time on results

I had dated a guy over the summer and there was a couple times we weren't as careful as we should of been which is something very uncharacteristic of me. Months after we'd gone our separate ways, I started really panicking that I could of contracted HIV. I've been tested twice for everything else but have been too scared to test for this. We still remained friends and promised me he would ask his dr to test him at his routine physical. I made sure to tell him they'd only test if he specifically asked. He text me the next day saying everything came back fine. I find him to be a pretty honest decent guy, and I do believe him to be at fairly low risk. My problem lies where when I go for my yearly, I am waiting weeks to get these results back, not overnight. Any input?

Thanks so much, Kumar! You actually made me feel a lot better. Maybe I can relax a little now until June when I get all my yearly stuff done :) Thanks again

Thank you for your comment. That's where I think it's so hard is that I just assume that the risk is just there and great. It was probably close to 4 months post me he actually got tested bc I called him up like a lunatic expressing my fear. You think that it is possible though that he could get his results back overnight like that? I guess that's my real question. I generally find him believable and caring, I know he absolutely went to the dr, I just don't know how his could be overnight while I'm waiting in weeks of agony when I go to my obgyn

as long as you are testing 3 months post your last exposure..the result will be conclusive..
dont worry as not every person has got hiv plus the guy claims he is clean and his tests came back negative..
however you must test to find out your status
