Risk of contracting HIV/AIDS from fingering?

Hi, 6 weeks ago I spent the night with a prostitute in Accra, Ghana. I was very drunk so I can't remember the exact details, but I'm pretty sure she gave me unprotected fellatio for about 20 minutes. Then I fingered her for 5 to 10 minutes before having sex with a condom, not for too long as I was so drunk I couldn't cum so I just rolled off and passed out. I remember her putting the condom on me, and I think i remember taking it off afterwards, but it may have slipped down a bit while having sex.

My biggest fear is that the next day or the day after that I noticed a small black mark on the finger I had been fingering her with which looked like a scab/blood blister. It stayed there for a couple of weeks before i picked it off. I don't remember how i got cut (could have been a mosquito bite/pin prick or something?) so it could have happened while I was with her i guess. I don't rember there being any blood, but as I said I can't really remember. Could I have contracted HIV/AIDS through this cut. I didn't wash my hands until I got home and showered the next day.

Thanks. I've started seeing someone recently so am terrified that a) I could be infected myself, but moreover b) that I could infect her.

Thanks in advance for your help

You just answered your own question by saying that you have read a number of times that there are no reported cases of hiv transmission this way and that is a fact.I,m a support worker who cares for people who are hiv positive,i also have a friend in sydney who is an infectious diseases doctor with a great knowledge of the virus.Like i said you never had a risk and don,t require any testing for hiv.

You never had an hiv risk from the unprotected oral or the fingering, however it might be a good idea to test for other std,s.Hiv is transmitted via unprotected penetrative vaginal or anal sex, sharing iv drug works and by mother to infant.Your safe and can stop worrying.

Hi, thanks so much for your help.

Do you mind if I ask what your qualifications on this matter are?

Do you know of any scientific reasons why the fingering could not be a risk? It seems that it should be if it was an open cut at the time, although i have read a number of times that there are no reported cases of HIV transmission this way.

Again, thanks
