Risk of contracting HIV

Hello,
19 days ago I had a risky sexual encounter with a female partner of unknown HIV status. Penetration was very brief, 1-2 seconds at most before i used protection. Over the past 3 days i have started noticing some of the symptoms associated with the  seroconversion period. Swollen glands on the neck, loss of appetite, but none that i would consider extreme flu like symptoms. needless to say i am extremely worried and anxious,, my status is all that i am thinking about at the moment. I will be waiting untill 28 days before testing to know my status but in the mean time i wanted to know if the chance of being HIV+ is considered low in anyway? I have read that it can be difficult to contract in certain circumstances.

Thanks.

chances of getting the HIV is very low if it was very brief. dont scare yourself if it was that brief. but go and do a antibody test and also get PCR RNA test done .

best of luck and i just posted a question about my scare too. i would rather be in your shoes than mine!

Thanks,
Only a few more days to go, no real symptoms at the moment, the worry and anxiety is immense and I'm hoping that's what's causing the little discomfort I have. From what I have been reading while a diagnosis of HIV+ is life changing, the long term prognosis is positive overall.

Unprotected vaginal is always a risk and the brief duration can't predict the outcome, especially since you don't even know if she has HIV.
Your symptoms prove nothing because everyone gets flu and colds and many also have had sex but very few have HIV.
