SYPHILIS POSITIVE AND HIV

I am gay, got the syphilis when a man performed oral sex , and i also saw some blood later around my penis. 3 months have now passed. How high is my HIV risk now, assuming he is HIV positive, and a syphilis related ulcer in his mouth is the source of the blood?

HIV is very fragile and saliva has over a dozen different enzymes and proteins that inhibit HIV transmission

Ahhh, Teak, thank you soooo much. Finally real relief...I only have a Q about HIV. WHy is HIV not transmitted through mouth blood (whereas other STDs may). I had this contact (deepthroat) lasting for hours, to find out the blood on my belly and hips only very late. How realiable is a negative HIV test after 60 days? Thank you

You didn't have a risk of contract HIV from oral sex.  If you have further questions on STDs you need to post them in the STD forum.
