Sandwich Incident

Sorry to bother you but I have a possible non-sexually transmitted HIV situation I need to ask about.

Yesterday, I went to buy a sandwich from a store.  The person who made the sandwich accidentally cut her hand.  (The wound bled aftewards and I have no idea about the HIV status of the employee who made the sandwich.)  Afterwards, that sandwich was thrown away and a new one was made for me by some other employee.  However, when the other employee made the new sandwich, he used the same knife that the other employee cut herself with.  Later, I brought the sandwich home and had it thrown away.  However, before it was thrown away, one of my family members tried to make me eat it.  They touched the bread that was cut by the knife.  Then touched some other things before throwing it away.  When I saw my family member touch the sandwich some other things, I freaked out. I started trying to sanitize everything (with soap and water) that family member had touched.  Later that day, I noticed that I had a minor wound on my hand that could have been bleeding when I tried sanitizing the things my family member touched, earlier that day.  At that time, I told myself that I have nothing to worry about because even if there were HIV viral particles present in the sandwich, there shouldn't be enough to possibly infect me from the things I sanitized through my minor wound.  However, my illogical side tells me that I may have been infected through that minor wound.

Could you please provide me an with answer to what threat this situation could possibly pose to my health ASAP.

Thanks

HIV doesn't survive outside of the body for long, and even if it did, can you imagine it trying to survive in your stomach acid, it would be like swimming in a pool of molten lava

Seek some counseling.  Not one aspect of your story is cause for concern, and the fact that you think it is indicates that you are not thinking rationally about the risks of HIV.

HIV is not transmitted off environmental surfaces. You had NO risk of contracting HIV  whatsoever. Deal with your illogical side.
