Should I get tested?

I have used a dirty needle in the past. If the contaminates are strictly my blood, should I have no risks at catching aids? The thing I am concerened about is, the needle had been used by myslef several times without being cleaned. Also It had sit in my closet for about 8 months straight until I picked it up agian and injected myslef. I am scared that the aged blood held bacteria, which may have formed into a type of aids virus. Please give me some advice. Is there any symptoms and should I take this serious and get tested?

Please keep your concerns in your original thread.

If that is your only exposure then you do not need testing.
