Should get tested?

I recently started a new relationship with a girl, who works as a healthcare worker.
Last week she told me she came in contact with a patients blood all over her hands, wearing no gloves and might have have had a small cut on her hand.I'm worried about this now.Should i get her tested? What are the odds of she getting infected in case the patient was HIV+ ??

We talked about it a few days afterward when we saw each other, she had a cut when we talked but wasnt sure if it was there when that happened. It was a tiny one.
I appreciate your response, however your suppositions are based on total paranoia, specially in that last part where you assume i'd come here and make up a story of that kind taking a different personality as if it was necessary, considering nobody knows me here.
She did rinse her hands of course for several minutes.

Take care and thanks for your response too,in relationships you never know, but i trust her on that one.

Cheers.

I think your GF might have had an unprotected sexual encounter with other person than you and she's building that excuse in case something unexpected pops-up.
Think about it.  She said "she might have had a small cut".  How can one "might have had a small cut??? Either you have a small cut or not. A small cut is not lipstick that wipes off with a tissue a certainly they (small cuts) don't disappear in hours so you don't know if you had the cut or not. If she had this kind of accident (spill of blood) the first thing a trained HS will do is look for, rinse and sanitize any exposed wound.
Either what I just wrote is true or you are making a story similar to what really happened to you.

Thank you aak001 for the response and nursegirl, i completely agree with you, i already told her and you don't know how much it dissapointed me to hear that a girl im dating would be so careless. hiv is a concern, but luckly theres no risk for what you tell me,but then again there are also other issues as you mentioned in your post.

Thanks a lot.

I agree, no risk.

You may want to tell your GF to get into some better habits when it comes to universal precautions.  There are a LOT of things one can "get" working in the healthcare field....and actually...HIV is on the bottom of the list of concerns.

She really should start protecting herself better!
