Soar throat after Sex with a prostitute

Hello doctor,

I am really worried about a recent trip to Hamburg where I paid a prostitute for sexual intercourse and oral sex all protected with a condom.
As far as I am aware the condom did not break or fail but I don't know if it did or not or if it had and tears of holes.

Anyway I wasn't worried until exactly 8 days later I woke up with a sore throat. After looking online and doing some research this is the most common symptom of early stages of HIV infection and this has now made me extremely worried? What are my risks of catching HIV as this is too much of a coincidence to just be a normal sore throat right?
Is 8 days too soon to experience symptoms? As now I have to live in fear for at least 3 months until I can get a HIV test for exact results?

You can test for peace of mind.

And the only reason some say using a condom is low risk is because sometimes condoms break and fail. And intact condoms means no risk.

Thanks for your reply, so should I take a HIV test or not as I have sore throat symptoms of HIV one week after the sex with condom?
Also is it true about the previous comment from ivan33?

Is it true that even with the proper use of condoms, there's a small chance you may contract STDs (from oral + penetrative sex) and HIV (from penetrative sex)?

You had protected sex and that is not a risk for infection. You do not have HIV
