Sore Throat and itchy skin post exposure

Hi, I'm a 21 y/o med student. I performed oral sex on a guy 10 weeks ago and 2 weeks after that I start having my throat sore and, at the same time, itchy skin, specially where the hair pops up you know...may be folliculitis...don't know. That itching was really uncomfortable during the first 2 weeks and then it stopped and now came back...but it's just mentally annoying, because it makes me think about hiv. About the sore throat, well....I've been having it since week 2 (I'm on week 10). I was given antibiotics from doctors but with no result.
I've been tested twice for all STD's (everything came back negative)
HIV TESTS
Week 6 ---- NEGATIVE
Week 8 ---- NEGATIVE
I'm planning to test at the 3 months mark but I'm just so mentally exhausted of thinking about HIV because I can't figure out why my throat is still sore. The guy I had sex with, he had a sorethroat that lasted a lot when I met him. Moreover, he saw me so paranoid about this issue that he showed me his HIV TEST from November 1st 2007...that's 5 months before our encounter, but said he didn't know if he was infected because he had been with other guys in the meantime...anyways. I just don't know what else it can be but I can only tell you that I'm really stressed out because of this sore throat. Does anybody had a sorethroat that lasted this long? Taken antibiotics with no result and still have it?
Thanks guys. I think my 3 months test will be negative because I think my risk was low and I knew this guy, though not much, but actually seen an hiv test negative 5 months before our encounter. I've always been a healthy guy so it freaks me out.
Thanks again.

I took the time and read all this guy posted. I don't wanna make people who come here more anxious than they are.
Would you still state that performing oral sex with poor oral hygiene is a risk? What about cunnilingus?

Had you took the time to keep looking there is an explaination that goes along with that thread. Like you, people tend to start multiple threads, pull up old threads and post questions to making it difficult for people as yourself to follow to get the whole story.

That doesn't make me anything. I just thought you always advise that oral sex is no risk. You don't have to take it personal. I really respect you and you're doing here.

I can't believe I found this post where Teak actually states that oral sex can be a risk for hiv if you have poor oral hygiene.

Had to add that my tests were:
6 weeks ---- DUO TEST (looks for p24/Antibodies) (4th generation I guess).
8 weeks ---- 3er generation test.

Thank you Teak for your reply. I've been reading for a while this forum and just wanted to congratulate you on the fantastic work you have done to relax, may be make us all think more rationally about HIV.

I wanted to ask you whether you think this could be caused by HIV, do u think my sorethroat could be directly related to HIV when having two negative tests (6 and 8 weeks) in my hands? (I know you will say 3 months conclusive, and I will of course go for it, haha, but wanted to ask you...if this is caused by hiv, wouldn't have a test picked it up?)

Besides this, when I read your reply I remembered that I was taken out my wisdom teeth, my gums closed 3 of the spaces where the teeth were, but on one gap, the gum closed it but not completely, I mean, It doesn't bleed, was taken them out 3 months before the encounter and it seems not to close more than what it is now !!! So...do u think I put myself at risk? Do u consider this to have "poor oral hygiene"?

Thank you again.

Unless you have poor oral hygiene you didn't have a risk of contracting HIV.
