Syringe (Needle prick)

Hi I was recently running on the beach barefoot and felt something sharp. I went back and saw it to be a needle/syringe. I looked at my feet and it punctured the skin (broke the skin, like a good flap of skin), there was no blood though. Does there need to be blood present for hiv to be present? and I definitely no it punctured the skin as I can see it right now) Kind Regards

I did say how deep it would have to go.

And why does blood need to be present...well that is how it would be transmitted.

Hi Vance2335,

Thank you for responding to me so quickly. Thank you for clearing my worries. Just out of curiousity to stop me hopefully asking a similar question again in the future, how deep would it have to go in? and why does blood need to be present?. This is just for my own personal knowledge.

I would really appreciate it if you could just answer those two.

Kind Regards
