TEAK, MIKE! Anybody!

Hey guys..

You probly cant remember my origion message/exposure.

Basically i had a high risk exposure 10 weeks ago now.
(unprotected sex with a sex worker in Thailand, and blood was involved!!!)

I had a test done at 7 weeks which came back negative.
However!! i really doubt the results for the following:-
1) It was a rapid test in which the results were back in 20 mins apposed to 1-2 weeks.
2) They didnt even take blood through injection.. the only pricked my fingre!!!!!!
3) They were not even doctors. It was a hiv centre run by volunteers. Which is probly why the cost of the test was only $25!

Please advise me guys on this.

my anxiety has decreased but its still there..

Gona get tested again in 2 weeks which will be the 3 month mark.
This time with a proper test at a proper doctors surgery!!!

Cheers

p.s.
i really dont mean to offend anybody by this email i am just really worried.

Hello there.  I too am at the 10 week mark and freaking out.  I too had a test with the finger ***** and 20 minute result.  Mine, however, was at 6 weeks.  From what I have been told and what I have read on this and other sites, this method of testing is highly accurate.  Hope that helps.

finger ***** test, are as reliable as blood drawn from the vein.
your 10 wks test is pretty reliable. your test @ 13 wks will be conclusive.

Rapid tests are reliable!

7 weeks's very indicative of wht the result's gonna be at the 12th week, the doc here in the forum goes with 6 - 8 week conclusive

I'd say rest easy, it should be negative !
