Call back and lie. That is what I did when they told me it was too early to test. I went back and acted dumb and said I got my dates mixed up as to when the unprotected sex actually happened, that is how I got tested two days in a row! I had a 9 day test, then wanted another test so I went back on day 10 and lied and told the lady it had been 4 weeks.

Of course I'm encouraging you to lie.  There is no other way to get you off the board, by getting your negative results.  And even then I'm not sure you'll fade into the woodwork.  I think it'll take a few more weeks for you to finally believe you don't have HIV.  You are awfully invested in this.  Whatever will you occupy your time with, if you don't have HIV to obsess over?

(Yes, joe, its bigdummy.  I'm not turning him in unless he misbehaves, though.  He won't admit it, but it is.)

Look at Peek, encouraging me to lie. Its good advice though. I guess sometimes you got to do what you got to do. I'm going to have to go to another health dept and just tell them I've never tested. I'm tired of the worrying. I've wasted a summer. I'm wasting my life. I could probably live a good 10-20 years hopefully with medication anyway if I have it. Truth be told, I wasn't that happy of a person before all of this. But the agony now is killing me.

Dude, go to a different place and tell them you've never tested.  Or get a Home Access.

She asked me when was the last time I tested and I told her june whatever. The 10 days after my risk/no risk exposure. I think she considers that my yearly test. I guess I was too honest.

Just tell her you want to do your yearly HIV test. I don't see why they can you turn you down for that. As I said before, I'm almost positive the CDC recommends it (and triple H wrote the guidelines too, I think).

I'm not questioning the 6month thing, I'm questioning her not testing me. When I told her I had symptoms, she then said HIV doesn't have any symptoms. She asked why I was there so I told her, she asked about my risk, so I told her. I was just suprised she wouldn't test me.

BD, you never had a risk. You and everyone (obviously Regjoe by his comment) knows this. We've been discussing the window period for eons on this site. You've been on here long enough and know all the answers. And, first of all, you just request a test. You don't need to tell them anything about your exposure or when it occured. Tell the counsellor that after they've taken blood/oral fluid (not your fault of course). Noone (who is not overtesting) should ever be denied an HIV test.

That (once again, not your fault) is BS...routine HIV testing is reccomended by the CDC in the first place!!!! If you want to do your once/year (or whatever is recommended or the frequency you feel that you need) and it happens to be near a (esp after 12 weeks) an 'exposure,' I don't see why anyone should EVER turn you away.

I'm on my 12th week, and she said its too soon. Its may take awhile to get myself to test again. I was nervous as hell.
